The History of YALE forklift

The American company "Yale Materials Handling Inc." was founded in 1844 as a manufacturer of various types of locks. Since 1920, the company began to produce low-lift platform forklifts (with the use of an internal combustion engine - DVZ), and three years later, a signal example of a forklift with an electric traction motor came out of the plant's assembly shop.

Since 1929, the company has been manufacturing electric stackers, and in 1950, the company began engineering forklifts with internal combustion engines. Since 1934, Yale is a full-blooded player in the market of loading and unloading equipment for warehouses in Europe. In the same year, the first factory for the production of forklift trucks was launched in Great Britain.

 

In 1984, a controlling stake in "Yale Materials Handling Inc." bought by another American corporation "NACCO Industries". However, despite this, Yale only increases the production and sale of cargo-lifting warehouse equipment. In 1996, a new series of European Yale forklifts was developed, which subsequently underwent a number of modernizations: the Veracitor VX forklift, NexGen electric forklifts, etc.

 

In 2012, the company merged with "Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc." ("Hyster-Yale"), an American publicly traded company with 5,000 full-time employees worldwide. Already today, Yale warehouse equipment is developed, manufactured, serviced and sold at 19 complex enterprises around the world. These enterprises include, in particular, 12 large manufacturing plants and 5 NDCs and DKBs.

Today, three large factories producing warehouse equipment are successfully operating in Europe - in Great Britain (Northern Ireland, the Craigavon plant - forklifts with internal combustion engines, electric stackers and accessories for them are manufactured), the Netherlands (Nijmegan plant - heavy-duty forklifts are produced) and Italy ( Masate plant – all types of warehouse equipment are produced). These plants are owned by Yale Materials Handling Inc.

Forklift trucks with electric and mechanical drive for handling loads from 1000 to 16,000 kg.

Compact forklifts for handling loads from 1600 to 2000 kg.

Forklifts with a counterweight for handling loads from 4000 to 9000 kg.

Forklifts for intensive and heavy use for handling loads from 8000 to 16000 kg.

Four-wheel electric forklifts for handling loads from 1600 to 5500 kg.

Three-wheel electric forklifts for handling loads from 1250 to 2000 kg.
