The History of MASSEY FERGUSON combines

Massey Ferguson is a brand of AGCO Corporation.

The history of the Massey-Ferguson company began back in 1847. It was founded by Daniel Massey in Newcastle, Ontario, Canada and gave it the name Massey Manufacturing Company. In 1891, as a result of the merger of Daniel Massey's company with the firm of Alanson Harris, a new enterprise appeared - Massey-Harris Company Limited. More than half a century later, it is merged with the British company Harry Ferguson Limited. The headquarters of the new firm remained in Toronto.

The combined company was originally named Massey-Harris-Ferguson, but was renamed Massey Ferguson Company in 1958. In the same year, the logo familiar to us today appeared for the first time, consisting of three red and white triangles. In 1978, due to the fact that the company faced economic difficulties, it was necessary to sell part of the production and close some plants. In 1992, an agreement was signed that, in the future, the American company AGCO would be responsible for the marketing of Massey Ferguson agricultural equipment in the North American markets.

Combines "Massey Ferguson" are considered one of the oldest in the history of existence. Since 1847, when this brand was born, several dozen different models have been produced. Today, the developments of the last two decades have been combined into the Centora, Activia and Fortia series, which are readily purchased for domestic agricultural production.

The constant search for innovation and two-way communication with the consumer have made Massey Ferguson products the benchmark for agricultural engineering.
